FAQ’s

We have 41 different species of birds. We feed 55 different foods and no matter how we try to provision properly, we are always out of at least one kind of food. We are always seeking partners to assist us with food collection. Over-ripe fruit for humans often will be a splendid feast for feathered friends.

The most expensive animal is a free one. We do medical testing, quarantine, spend a lot of time getting to know the animal and tailor a dietary plan that is specifically suited to that animal. In addition, we often have to build a new aviary to accommodate the new resident. We simply, at this time, do not have the resources that would enable us to take in more birds.

Adopt from a rescue or buy from a breeder. Quarantine for at least a month. Find out as much as you can about husbandry and be prepared to feed and house appropriately. Vet services are expensive. You should be prepared to provide them if your bird becomes ill.

We do not offer Pandemonium Aviaries birds for adoption because they are not suited to be companion animals. We welcome interested friends to sponsor an aviary or specific bird, though.

When kids leave home, you never have an empty nest. When your friends want to gossip you are always fodder. Some birds can be taught to say “I love you.” This is more than can be expected from others in your life..

Pandemonium Aviaries is avian-centric; decisions are made based on what is good for the birds. Breeding endangered species and public display of birds are incompatible, so we have made the difficult decision to not allow public visits.
