FAQ’s

We have 40 different species of birds and feed 55 different foods. We are always seeking partners to assist us with food collection. Food that you think is over-ripe may be a splendid feast for feathered friends.

The most expensive bird is a free one. We do medical testing, quarantine, spend a lot of time getting to know the bird, and tailor a dietary plan that is specifically suited to that individual. In addition, we often have to build a new aviary to accommodate the new resident. We simply, at this time, do not have the resources that would enable us to take in more birds.

Adopt from a rescue or buy from a breeder. Quarantine for at least a month. Find out as much as you can about husbandry.  Be prepared to feed and house appropriately. Vet services are expensive; you should provide them if your bird becomes ill.

We do not offer Pandemonium’s birds for adoption because they are not suited to be companion animals. We welcome interested individuals to sponsor a species or specific bird.

When the kids leave home, you will never have an empty nest. When your friends want to gossip, you are always fodder. Some birds can be taught to say “I love you.” This is more than can be expected from others in your life..

Pandemonium is avian-centric; decisions are made based on what is best for the birds. Breeding endangered species and public display of birds are incompatible, so we have made the difficult decision to not allow public visits.
